 tive parent\, have guardianship\, or are kinship/family care giver\, this 
 group is designed to give support\, information\, resources and encouragem
 ent. Foster Parents are vital to keeping children safe and helping them he
 al from the trauma of abuse\, neglect\, abandonment or removal from their 
 family home. This support group can help by:\n\n• Working together to impr
 ove the lives of children not living with their birth parents.\n• Through 
 mutual support foster families are strengthened and placement stability is
  improved for the children in care.\n• Foster Parenting is a journey. Fost
 er Parents must strive to keep up on educational opportunities to be bette
 r equipped to protect the health and safety of the children placed in our 
 care. Staying informed and up to date on issues affecting the child welfar
 e system are also important.\n\nStarting in 2015 we will have weekly chats
  Tuesdays at 9:00 PM (Central Time). Each week we will have a topic of dis
 cussion. During this time anything and everything related to the topic wil
 l be discussed. Just like in-person support groups\, this will be a closed
  forum and issues discussed should remain confidential. If there is a topi
