 nsuing years\, the partici-pants of the Hartford Consensus concluded that 
 by providing first responders (law enforcement) and civilian bystanders th
 e skills and basic tools to stop uncontrolled bleeding in an emergency sit
 uation\, lives would be saved.\nCivilians need basic training in Bleeding 
 Control principles so they are able to provide immediate\, frontline aid u
 ntil first responders are able to take over care of an injured person. Due
  to many situations\, there may be a delay between the time of injury and 
 the time a first responder is on the scene. Without civilian intervention 
 in these circumstances\, pre-ventable deaths will occur.\n\nQPR-Suicide Pr
 evention Gatekeeper Training: Three steps anyone can learn to help prevent
  suicide. \nInstructor: Sam Crouch\nQPR stands for Question\, Persuade\, a
 nd Refer. It is an evidenced-based training program to help you respond to
  someone in a mental health crisis and thinking about suicide. Participant
 s will learn how to recognize the warning signs of suicide\, offer hope\, 
 and refer to appropriate resources.\n\nNOTE: More in-service training avai
