Early Childhood Family Fair : NFAPA Calendar : News & Publications : Nebraska Foster and Adoptive Parent Association

The fair is a project of Lincoln Early Childhood Network, which was created to support the Prosper Lincoln Early Childhood Goal of nurturing every child on the path to success. Vendors provide resources and information to families with young children, and ideally have conversations and provide information for families showing they are not alone and there is a full community to support them on their parenting journey.
Our Parenting Across Color Lines Support Group will have a booth inside Gateway Mall.
The fair is a fun time for families to interact with each other, to play and learn together. Families will also connect to a wide variety of resources and programs related to early childhood development and healthy parenting. The String Beans will be performing and there will be many other activities.

Resource Family Consultants

Our staff includes Resource Family Consultants who specialize in one-on-one relationships, which provide foster parents with emotional encouragement, skill reinforcement, and parenting strategies unique to providing out-of-home care.

Scholarships

The Nebraska Foster & Adoptive Parent Association (NFAPA) offers scholarships to adoptive, foster, guardianship or kinship youth who wish to further their education beyond high school or GED.

Become a Foster Parent

There is an ongoing need in Nebraska for families willing to share their hearts and their homes with children who require temporary foster care. There is also a need for “forever” families for our waiting children, especially teens, who are available for adoption.
