A lifetime history of brain injury can result in impairments in physical, emotional, and/or
cognitive functioning. This session will discuss the impact of brain injury on system-involved youth.

The presenter will provide an overview of brain injury signs and symptoms, the prevalence of brain injury in high-risk populations, and simple tools and strategies to help minimize the effects of brain injury once it is identified through a screening process.

NOTE: This is the same training offered on June 29, 2024. Please do not register for this workshop if you already attended. For those that attend this workshop and the one in June, Peggy will offer a “Part 2” on February 22, 2025 . Save the date!

Scholarships

The Nebraska Foster & Adoptive Parent Association (NFAPA) offers scholarships to adoptive, foster, guardianship or kinship youth who wish to further their education beyond high school or GED.

Become a Foster Parent

There is an ongoing need in Nebraska for families willing to share their hearts and their homes with children who require temporary foster care. There is also a need for “forever” families for our waiting children, especially teens, who are available for adoption.
