This class is for foster/adoptive and step-parents.

1. You will learn how to teach your children to manage their emotions.

2. You will learn that we all make mistakes: it is how we make the

“repair” that strengthens our relationships.

3. You will learn what is underneath the acting out behaviors.

4. You will learn that sometimes our needs interfere with our children’s

needs and what to do when that happens.

5. You will learn that it is NEVER TOO LATE.

Classes will be held on Tuesdays for eight weeks.

Beginning Tuesday, January 5th – February 23rd

And an evening class at 7:00 p.m.
1 1/2 hours each.

The registration fee is $ 200 for one parent, $300 for a couple.

Resource Family Consultants

Our staff includes Resource Family Consultants who specialize in one-on-one relationships, which provide foster parents with emotional encouragement, skill reinforcement, and parenting strategies unique to providing out-of-home care.

Scholarships

The Nebraska Foster & Adoptive Parent Association (NFAPA) offers scholarships to adoptive, foster, guardianship or kinship youth who wish to further their education beyond high school or GED.

Become a Foster Parent

There is an ongoing need in Nebraska for families willing to share their hearts and their homes with children who require temporary foster care. There is also a need for “forever” families for our waiting children, especially teens, who are available for adoption.
